There are plenty of Beaches in the area all have something different to offer… Barton on Sea is the closest to the holiday home (2 miles down the road) with great Coastal walks, Milford on Sea neighbouring Keyhaven with Hurst Castle, Highcliffe Castle with beaches (via steps), Bournemouth sandy beach & Pier, Sandbanks, & Poole all worth a visit.
In the Forest
Famous for roaming wildlife, ponies, donkeys, cattle & pigs… Please drive carefully through our forest especially at night.
There are many cycling routes, walking trails & horse riding to explore
Should walking & cycling be a little too energetic no problem there are 3 separate Bus Tour Routes running throughout the forest between July & September, just hop on & off
Burley… Tea Rooms, gift shops, cycle hire and if you have a sweet tooth Burley Fudge is a must!
Beaulieu…. Beaulieu Motor Museum, great day out, especially when hosting a special event like Hot Rod weekend, entry to these events can include the Museum, Palace House & Garden
Lyndhurst… Centre village known as the capital of the New Forest, Tea rooms, gift shops
Lymington… Lovely Coastal town with a market on Saturday, harbour & Ferry to Isle of Wight
Christchurch… Many shops, restaurants, boating & history to explore.
Bournemouth… Sandy beach, Pier, shops, amusements & gardens
New Milton & Barton on Sea… New Milton is closest for main shopping (inc a number of large supermarkets) with coastal walks at Barton
Bucklers Hard… Cruise the Beaulieu River & step back in time to the 18th century
As well as the New Forest Water Park & Sammy Miller’s largest Motorbike Museum… the list goes on!
